Meet Adrian
Breakthrough Life Coach - Author - Humanitarian - Motivational / Inspirational Coach - Podcast Host-Fueling Station
You can use many adjectives to describe Adrian Turner, but the top three are servant, humility, and iron. Adrian was born and raised on the Westside of Charlotte, North Carolina to the parents Ella Robinson-Gilbert and Neely James Turner. She is the oldest daughter of two, by her mother.
Growing up, Adrian was always the tallest amongst her peers, thus allowing her to stand out in a crowd, literally, even though this isn’t something she necessarily desires. Though faced with family difficulties including abandonment, rejection, and fear, Adrian has remained resilient and faithful to her first love - Jesus. Most people believe that in order to lead, they must have a boss mentality. Adrian understands that leadership is not about being in front, it's kneeling while others stand on your shoulders to advance before you. She recognizes that what goes up must come down, and she’s not afraid to recognize her own weaknesses while strengthening others around her. With her humble spirit, she works tirelessly, desiring no need of recognition.
She understands the principle of what you do in secret will be rewarded openly. As iron sharpens iron, Adrian uses her training, skills, and experience to sharpen all those connected to her. Adrian is a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army who is still serving. She has been enlisted for 17 years. She diligently seeks opportunities to increase her knowledge, and share her wisdom so that her team and peers can advance in their careers, personal and spiritual development. Outside of nurturing others, Adrian understands that her first ministry is her family. Adrian is a mother of three beautiful children who respect, love, and appreciate all the beauty life has to offer. You can find Adrian carrying her children to 2 separate AAU games, 3-5 days each week. From volleyball, to track, to basketball, and football. Yet again, despite the run around, Adrian still finds a way to seize any and every opportunity to train and mentor parents and teens she encounters everywhere. Her children get a chance to witness how influential you can be a leader and parent, with or without the need of a title.
As a published author and creator of Why Worry Journals—a spiritual tool infused with scriptures, quotes, and prompts designed to foster serenity and trust—Adrian's impact extends beyond her military and familial roles. She has used her voice to create favorable changes in coaching and parenting relationships on and off the field. There is a saying, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Behind closed doors, Adrian understands that in the United States of America, it’s in God whom we trust. She instills in her children the importance of faith, hope and love. And above all, love.
